“Jugend debattiert” is a distinguished German language
debate program and competition, organized under the guardianship of the German President
and supported by the ZFA (Zentral Agency for German Schools Abroad).
Students have the opportunity to compete against other
German Schools. The competition starts regional (Bay Area), goes to a state
competition (the US finals planned in November) to a federal competition in
Germany. The best debaters meet in Berlin every year.
Teacher training is required to be a “Jugend debattiert”
teacher and facilitator. GASA is proud to be a “Jugend debattiert” school.
We hope that your children are interested in one or more of
these classes and sign up for this new and unique opportunity.
Multilingualism is the norm in most of the world and we believe that children who speak and write more than one language will be better prepared for life in the 21st century with its growing global economy. The best way to master another language is to start learning at an early age.
